Aron van Leeuwen

Full Stack .NET Developer &
Security Architect

My journey in software engineering began in a fast-paced startup environment at Woonz.nl. Being part of a small team allowed me to master .NET while gaining broad expertise in SEO, SEA, and marketing—including the technical implementation of Google Tag Manager and Analytics. This holistic perspective on digital products continues to drive my approach to engineering.

Today, I specialize in building scalable, secure cloud-native applications within the .NET ecosystem, primarily on AWS. For me, web accessibility (WCAG AA) is not an afterthought but a fundamental requirement for every high-performance solution I deliver.

Beyond writing code, I am a committed security advocate, managing internal awareness training and phishing simulations to build more resilient teams. I also actively lead the integration of AI agents and tooling to streamline development workflows and push the boundaries of productivity.

My Approach

Problem Solving

I don't just write features; I solve business bottlenecks. Every line of code is measured against its value to the end-user and the organization's growth.

Clean Code

Readability is a feature. I advocate for DRY principles and SOLID design, ensuring that the codebase remains accessible to every team member.

Continuous Learning

The tech landscape shifts weekly. I dedicate time daily to exploring emerging patterns, languages, and frameworks to stay at the cutting edge.

Collaboration

Great software is a team sport. I thrive in cross-functional environments, translating technical complexity into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Beyond Work

"I believe the best engineers have hobbies that ground them. Cooking is my creative outlet—it teaches discipline and experimentation in equal measure. I enjoy hands-on work, whether fixing things around the house or tinkering with projects, finding real satisfaction in solving practical problems. And there's nothing quite like hitting the road on my motorcycle to clear my mind and find perspective. Those moments away from the keyboard often lead to my best ideas."
